Ships
Currently there is only one resident round-island cruise
ship based in Honolulu, the Pride of America owned by NCL. Other
cruise lines operate ships from the west coast USA which cruise
the Pacific and take in sevarla Hawaiian islands en-route.
Below is a guide to the ships you might find cruising
Hawaiian waters, but these are subject to change according to the
cruise lines' schedules.

Pride of America - NCL
Resident throughout the year and stationed in Honolulu, Oahu,
Hawaii. A reasonably new ship built in 2005 specifically for
the Hawaii cruise market, the ship offers state of the art facilities
and a wide choice of accommodation, from standard inside cabins
to luxury suites and penthouses. The ship operates two 10 night
cruise itineraries (Hawaiian Explorer and Hawaiian Splendours,
both of which visit Oahu, Maui, Kaiai and the Big Island of
Hawaii). |

MS Zaandam - Holland America
Offering 15 & 16 day circle cruises from San Diego and a
19 day circle cruise from Vancouver, Zaandam is a musically
themed ship with music memorabilia (you will even find Bill
Clinton's saxophone on board), whose unique feature is space,
since the ship has been designed to carry less passengers per
square metre than most other cruise ships. The ship operates
part of the year in Hawaiian waters and part of the year in
Alaska. |

Crystal Symphony - Crystal Cruises
This is an ultimate luxury 6 star cruise ship and is one of
the most spacious cruise ships sailing with a guest capacity
of just 940 and award winning cuisine to its name. Again this
ship is in Hawaii for only part of the year and at other times
can be found around Africa, the South Pacific, Australia and
New Zealand. Its Hawaii offering consists of a 10 day round-trip
from Los Angeles, or 17 day cruise from Los Angeles to the Hawaiian
Islands then on to Sydney. |

Celebrity Mercury - Celebrity Cruises
Launched in 1997 with a guest capacity of just under 2000 pasengers,
Mercury is the newest of Celebrity's 'Century' class vessels.
With superb on-board amenities and luxury equipped cabins you
will find plenty to occupy yourself on the Pacific stretch of
the cruise. The ship offers two 15 night round-trip cruises
from San Diego, California calling at Ensenada (Mexico), Oahu,
Maui, Kauai and two ports of call on the Big Island of Hawaii. |

Celebrity Millennium - Celebrity Cruises
Lauched in 2000 this ship can accommodate 2034 guests in luxury
style. With a theatre that features Broadway-style shows, world-class
restaurants and a luxurious spa, Millenium brings a taste of
the opulent to all guests. The Celebrity Millennium offers a
12 night cruise from Honolulu around the Hawaiian Islands (Oahu,
Kauai, Maui and Big Island of Hawaii) and ending in Vancouver,
British Columbia. At other times of year Millennium cruises
Alaska and Pacific. |

Rhapsody of the Seas - Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines
Launched in 1997 this ship, which can carry over 2,400 passengers
is a 'Vision' class liner equipped to luxury standards with
two pools nad a day spa. The ship offers two Hawaii cruise itineraries
of 10 or 12 days between Vancouver and Honolulu, or the reverse
direction. All cruises call at Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big
Island of Hawaii. The ship is only in Hawaiian waters for part
of the year and at toher times is found in Alaska and the South
Pacific as far as Australia. |

Carnival Spirit - Carnival Cruise Lines
Carnival Spirit operates on a choice of 12 day Hawaii cruises
whic either begin or end in Honolulu, Ensenada (Mexico) and
Vancouver. Like all Carnival ships the emphasis is on entertainment
with ships being bright, lively and fun driven, whilst accommodation
varies from standard rooms to suites, most having sea views.
Carnival prefer to refer to their ships as 'floating resorts'
that offer total choice dining. |

Dawn Princess - Princess Cruises
The Dawn Princess is one of four Princess ships that operate
periodically in Hawaiian waters - her sister ships, Golden
Princess, Sun Princess and Pacific Princess, each with between
400 and 700 balcony staterooms and a capacity to carry between
2000 and 300 passengers operate a series of 10 to 35 day cruises.
The shorter cruises run from Vancouver and Los Angeles, whilst
the 35 days cruises combine Hawaii with Tahiti, South pacific
and Australia.
