The Hawaii Islands and Hawaii Island Cruises

Each Hawaiian island is distinct in some way and most have their own natural wonders. The Hawaiian islands were volcanically formed centuries ago, being formed mainly of larva pushed up out of the ocean by severe volcanic activity. A number of the Hawaiian Islands have extinct volcanoes, but only the Big Island of Hawaii has one of the world's few active volcanoes, Kilauea.

Oahu - The Gathering Place

Oahu, island of wonders and contrasts, from the fun of Waikiki, to the 40 foot winter surf on the North Shore, the dramatically sculptured green mountains, tropical valleys, beautiful parklands, beaches and gardens. The 595 square mile island offers a wide choice of cultural activities, entertainment, beautiful scenery and a superb year round climate.

Hawaii - The Big Island

Hawaii is the largest, at 4,000 square miles, and the youngest of the Hawaiian Islands. It is one of the most fascinating and diverse places on Earth with one of the world's few active volcanoes. Hawaii is a tropical island of fire and snow, with 11 distinct climate zones, from temperate to tropical rain forest; an island which never disappoints.

Kauai - The Garden Isle

Kauai is one of the most beautiful islands in the world, a kaleidoscope of colours, rainbows, misty valleys, shrouded mountains, tropical rain forests, wild orchids, tall palms, grasslands, coral reefs, pristine beaches, with the fragrance of plumeria blossoms borne on the ever-present trade winds all combine to create a profusion of unique natural beauty.

Maui - The Valley Isle

With it's beautiful scenery Maui is amongst the most spectacular islands in the Pacific and is frequently acknowledged as one of the world's most beautiful islands. The lush and verdant valleys, both large and small, are only part of the island's attraction. Romantic sandy coves, broad golden sandy beaches, rain forests, tropical gardens are all part of Maui's beauty and magic.

Molokai - The Friendly Isle

Molokai is some 38 miles long and 10 miles wide covering an area of 260 square miles. It is the fifth largest and the most rural of the Hawaiian Islands and is only 20 minutes by air from the islands, of Oahu and Maui. Molokai's population, is around 7,000 persons, nearly 50% of whom are of Hawaiian ancestry. Its principal town of Kaunakakai.

Lanai - The Pineapple Isle

Lanai is a tranquil island of some 141 sq. miles, with a population of 2,800, near to the island of Maui. Lanai was once famous for its pineapples but now it mainly grows organic vegetables for its two five star award winning resort hotels. The fine sandy beach, at Hulopo'e Bay where dolphins swim in the ocean around Lanai, is rated one of the world's top scuba diving destinations, thanks to the exceptional clarity of its water.
